This podcast is produced by Rock the Trail, a project of Rock the Vote and WireTap Although immigration is a major issue in the 2008 US presidential campaign, and immigrants have staged large-scale marches to assert their rights, rarely are their individual voices and stories heard. Rock The Trail reporter Jocelyn Sida interviews a young man about his immigration experience in the United States. Jose (not his real name) details the sacrifices he’s made to pursue a new life and his wish to live and work legally in this country. Jocelyn Sida, 19, was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA. in a Mexican-American home and is currently a sophomore at Northland College in Ashland, WI. where she hosts the area's only Spanish radio show. She is currently a reporter for Rock The Vote's Rock The Trail project.
