Although immigration is a major issue in the 2008 US presidential campaign, and immigrants have staged large-scale marches to assert their rights, rarely are their individual voices and stories heard.
Rock The Trail reporter Jocelyn Sida interviews a young man about his immigration experience in the United States. Jose (not his real name) details the sacrifices he’s made to pursue a new life and his wish to live and work legally in this country. What message does he have for young voters and the next president?

Jocelyn Sida, 19, was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA. in a Mexican-American home and is currently a sophomore at Northland College in Ashland, WI. where she hosts the area's only Spanish radio show. She is currently a reporter for Rock The Vote's Rock The Trail project.
